Nigel Saperia trained as an economist and then worked as a trader, first at Shell, the oil major, then at US investment banks Salomon Brothers (where he was a director) and Bankers Trust (Managing Director), before moving to be head of Derivatives at the commodity giant, Glencore.

He has managed his own investments for the last 30 years and has over 10 years of experience helping individuals understand money management.
